Weekending

This weekend was a busy one, but we have managed to accomplish so much to get ready for the winter that we are feeling way more comfortable than we were at this time last year.

The husband had to go into work on Saturday, after taking his truck in to have some work done. I kept the kids busy with a bunch of activities while I got the laundry/dishes/various house chores taken care of. We had a nice stack of library books to occupy random moments, which is always nice.

Speaking of the library, ours usually has a milk crate in the childrens' section with random free items in it - usually books that are too beaten up to keep in circulation, or random things that just aren't being checked out any more. So can we discuss the items that my kids decided to rescue?

Yes. 2 episodes of Dinosaurs, and the creepiest Goldilocks movie in the history of the world. AWESOMESAUCE.

Other highlights of the weekend included rearranging the furniture in the family room (we are always doing this, because it's fun), eating nachos, installing the new dual thermostats for our furnace, reading, making things with beads and pipecleaners, cleaning out the furnace, gathering materials for more projects, watching The Adjustment Bureau (surprisingly good), catching up on the DVR'd television shows from the week, and a little bit of football. It was a good one.
